Obituary published on Legacy.com by Baxter Funeral & Cremation Service on Mar. 5, 2026.
It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Rosie Irene Davis on March 3, 2026. Born on May 13, 1950, in
Richmond, Virginia, Rosie brightened the world with her boundless love, vibrant spirit, and unwavering compassion.
Rosie was the cherished daughter of the late Tyree and Hattie Lynn, whose loving guidance shaped the caring woman she became. In the autumn of her youth, Rosie met and married the love of her life, Master Lee Davis, on November 22, 1970. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and memories, spanning 56 beautiful years until Master Lee's passing.
Rosie's journey of nurturing others extended beyond her family to her professional career. After graduating from Battle Creek Central High School in 1969 and furthering her education with the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing Homes in 1976, Rosie devoted herself to the care of others. As a Certified Nursing Assistant at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall, Michigan, from 1983 to 2010, she touched countless lives with her gentle hands and compassionate heart. Her colleagues and patients alike remember her for the genuine care she provided, always accompanied by a warm smile and a listening ear.
Rosie was a woman of many talents and passions, one of which was her love for music. She possessed a unique ability to transform any moment into a dance celebration, her spirit always in sync with the rhythm of life. Her voice, often raised in song, brought joy to those around her, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
Beyond her professional and personal achievements, Rosie's greatest legacy is her family. She is survived by her beloved sons, Troy Andrew Davis and Quincy Tyree Davis, who carry forward her values of kindness and integrity. Her loving spirit lives on in her three treasured grandchildren: Isaac Tyree Davis, Leilani-Azelia Razil Davis-Rindflisch, and Quincy Tyree Davis II, each a testament to her enduring legacy of love.
In these moments of reflection, the family extends heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers at Evergreen Senior Care of Battle Creek and her devoted caregiver, Karen, for their compassionate support and care for Rosie. Their kindness provided comfort and dignity in her final days, a gift for which the family is deeply thankful.
A private funeral service will be held to honor Rosie's remarkable life, as her family and close friends gather to celebrate the joy she brought into the world.
As we say goodbye to our beloved Rosie, we hold onto the memories of her laughter, her unwavering love, and the gentle strength that defined her life. May her spirit continue to inspire those who knew her, and may her legacy of compassion and joy live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her presence.
