Lloyd Edwin Irish

Lloyd Edwin Irish, 95, of Springfield, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at Evergreen Senior Care & Rehab Center. He was born on March 21, 1930, in Battle Creek, Michigan, the son of Laverne C. Irish and Maybelle I. (Cathcart) Irish.

Lloyd graduated from Lakeview High School with the Class of 1948 and furthered his education by taking some college courses at Michigan State University. In 1950, Lloyd started working for Clark Equipment from which he retired in 1984. He married the love of his life, Linda Imus on July 21, 1962 in Battle Creek, MI. The two spent the remaining years together until her passing in 2017. Lloyd was active with the Food Bank in Battle Creek, Sonoma United Methodist Church and loved to volunteer with Linda at Harper Creek Schools for many sporting events. He was also an avid member of the Clark Equipment Retirees Club.

Lloyd is survived by his sons, Mark Irish, Allen (Simone) Irish; grandchildren, Eric, Cameron, Alex and Kellee; and 7 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda Irish; son, Brian Irish; brother, Harold Irish; and sister, Suzanne Whitehead.

Lloyd was a veracious reader and could always get lost in a good book. He loved to get outdoors and enjoy nature, spend time with he beloved Linda, his children and grandchildren. He will forever be missed by his family, friends, and all those that knew and loved him.

A celebration of life will be determined at a later date.
