Deborah Thibodeaux Hepting

Deborah Thibodeaux Hepting passed away peacefully on April 14, 2023, at the age of 71 years. Former wife of Alvin H. Hepting Jr. Mother of Brandi Wainwright (Jimmy), Lisa "Taco" Breaux (Jeff), and Brittany Bellanger (Bryan). Grandmother of Kayla, Victoria, Nicholas, Alexis, Gabriella, and Kenzie. Great-grandmother of Charlotte, Ace, and two expectant great-grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews along with her many great friends. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Joyce Cantrelle (the late Tony), and Jennie Hopel (the late Charles Sr.), her parents, Emelda Isemann Thibodeaux and Murphy Thibodeaux, and her beloved canine companion Max. Deborah was a Times-Picayune news dealer for 36 years, retiring in 2021. She will be remembered fondly for her remarkable cooking skills, most specifically her famous chicken gumbo, and for always opening her house to family and friends. She was a loving mother and grandmother and always had a piece of advice to give to anyone in need. Deborah cherished all her life-long friends. She will be profoundly missed. Visitation will be held at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Friday, April 21, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will follow.
