Ms. Deborah Virginia Allen Holland, 72, of Evergreen Drive, Elberton, passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Elbert Memorial Hospital.
Ms. Holland was born in Elberton on August 9, 1952, daughter of the lake Viyses Allen and Robert Willis Allen. Deborah touched many lives during her work as a home healthcare provider. She loved playing bingo and dancing. An avid cook, she loved her family dear and thoroughly enjoyed being a mother and grandmother. In addition, Deborah will be remembered as a loving and caring friend.
She leaves to cherish fond memories five children: Darren (Gail Medina) Holland, Sandra (Alfred Dye) Holland, Fredrick (Elaine) Holland, Sharon Holland, and Michael (Jeannie) Holland, Jr.; one sister, Marion Jones; two uncles: James (Jasper) Allen and Jackie Allen; grandchildren: Antione (Christina) Smith, Quartez (LaToya) Holland, Torrance Holland, Katerrious (Tybre) Dye, Teraneeka (Nicholas Sims) Holland, Amia Reed, Hykeem Jones, Antarius Holland, Laqutta Dye, Nykia Jones, Joaquin Booker, and Nadia Hughes; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Holland; and siblings: Larry Allen, Curtis Allen, Sammie Hester, Ruby Noble, Margaret Allen, and Dorothy McCalla.
The family is at the residence and will receive friends on Thursday, December 12, from 5:00-8:00p.m. at Berry Funeral Home.
Funeral services celebrating Deborah's life will be conducted on Friday, December 13, at 2:00pm. at the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Dennis Quinn. Burial will follow in the Carlton Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will include Josiah Holland, Kevin Watkins, Perez Cureton, Greg Norman, David Hester, and James Noble. Flower bearers will be Sandra “Penny” Holland, Yasmin Watkins, Danielle Fruster, Pam Cummins, and Pam Fortson.
