Deborah Jean Hunt

Deborah Jean Hunt, 62 of Lumberton, NC was born October 8, 1963, and departed this life to enter into her eternal home on January 2, 2026.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, Karl R. and Elsie E. Rice, a brother, Richard Rice, a nephew, Justin Rice and a sister-in-law, Nina Lee Hunt.

Deborah was born in Athol, Massachusetts. She graduated high school from Montey Tech in Massachusetts. Deborah and her family moved to Robeson County in 1989. She worked at Shoney's, Village Station, Ryan's Steakhouse, and Cracker Barrell.

Deborah met the love of her life George Hunt in February 2000. They began a life together and shared 26 years. Deborah had a love for her husband, children and grandchildren that could never be broken. She cherished every moment spent with them.

Deborah is survived by her husband, George, "Duck", Hunt, two sons, Dustin (Melissa) Roy of Lumberton, and Brandon (Kayla) Roy of Apex, NC, one daughter, Carrie Roy of Lumberton, seven grandchildren, Genevieves Roy of Lumberton, NC, Elisiyah Colson of Apex, NC, Eric Roy of Apex, NC, Brianna (Breezy) Roy, Mitchell Rose, Carlisiya Roy and Melynndie Roy all of Lumberton, NC, two great grandchildren, Nila Baker and Nolan Roy of Lumberton, NC, one brother, Steven (Diane) Rice of Massachusetts, one sister, Phyllis (Darryl) Broeckel of Lumberton, several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
