Born on July 22, 1955, in Arcadia, WI, Deb was the beloved daughter of Betty (Stencil) and Cecil Maliszewski. She graduated from Arcadia High School in 1973, where she excelled academically, and later pursued higher education at Western Technical College and Viterbo University.

Deb dedicated 43 years of her professional life to Western Technical College, starting as the cafeteria manager and ultimately leading the Food Service Department. Her passion for her work and joy in mentoring young adults pursuing their careers left a lasting impact on her colleagues and students. She is survived by her loving children, Nicole Klug of La Crosse, and Keith (Katie) Klug of Oconomowoc, as well as her cherished granddaughter, Annica, of La Crosse. She is also survived by her four siblings: Mikki (Darwin) Embke, Aimee (Jeff) Meier, Jamie (Julie) Maliszewski, and Mark Maliszewski, along with 11 nieces and nephews and six great-nieces and nephews.

Deb was preceded in death by her parents, and younger sister Cheri.

A devout member of the Cathedral of Saint Joseph the Workman in La Crosse, Deb was active in her faith community. She served on various committees, councils, and even contributed by caring for church linens, reflecting her humble and giving nature.
