Deborah Lynn Kodluboy

Deborah “Debbie” Kodluboy, 60, of Hudson, WI passed away peacefully on Friday, September 26, 2025, in Stillwater, Minnesota.

Debbie was born on April 14, 1965, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Russell and Diane (Blazek) Cook. She grew up in Lake Elmo, MN with her sisters, Patty and Christy. Debbie graduated from Stillwater High School in 1983 and went on to earn a business certification from Minnesota Business College. She began her career as a bookkeeper and went on to work for Linds Shoe Company for 22 years.

On April 25, 1992, Debbie married the love of her life, Leonard Kodluboy Jr. at St. Michaels Catholic Church. Together, they built their home in Hudson, WI and raised their children: Katie, Calley, Robbie (Claire) and Leah (Cory). Debbie’s greatest joy was her family, and she poured her heart into being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

When Lind’s Shoe Company closed in 2017, Debbie devoted much of her free time to caring for her parents, Russell and Diane, until their passings in 2020. She cherished those years deeply, grateful for the opportunity to spend such meaningful time with them. Also in 2017, Debbie joined Stenseth Samuelson & Boese, Ltd., where she worked with dedication and care. She remained with the firm until her passing, forming close bonds with her colleagues.

Debbie lived life to the fullest in every season. In the spring, she loved planting flowers and tending her vegetable garden. Summer was spent outdoors with her family, enjoying long walks and warm evenings together. In the fall, she canned the produce she had grown, sharing the fruits of her labor with loved ones. Winter brought some of her happiest traditions—baking cookies, decorating for Christmas while dancing to the music of Reba, Kenny & Dolly, Elvis, and Aaron Neville, going ice fishing, and snowmobiling. She also loved to travel and always dreamed of making it to the Grand Canyon. One of her favorite destinations was the Wisconsin Dells, where she created cherished memories with her family.

In 2022, Debbie was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She faced her illness with incredible courage, grace, and faith. Even in her hardest days, she remained the light and strength of her family, teaching them resilience, love, and hope by her example.

Debbie is survived by her loving husband, Leonard Kodluboy; her wonderful children Katie, Calley, Robbie (Claire), Leah (Cory); grandchildren Russell, Vernon, Christopher and Emmy; her sister’s Christy (Bryan) Davis and Patty (Ken) Olsonberg; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Diane Cook and her beloved grandchild, who was carried in love but gone too soon. At this time, the family is taking space to grieve privately. A celebration of Debbie’s beautiful life will be held when they are ready. While they will never truly be ready to say goodbye, they take comfort in saying, “see you later.”

A heartfelt thank you to all who supported her, prayed for her, and stood by our family throughout this courageous battle. Your love and kindness will never be forgotten. Also to the staff of Lakeview hospital for their compassionate care and support.

Debbie will be remembered for her unconditional love, her generous spirit, and the joy she brought to every life she touched. Though deeply missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
