Deborah "Debbie" LaPier

PLATTSBURGH - Deborah "Debbie" Lee LaPier, 71, of Tom Miller Rd. Plattsburgh, passed away Tuesday, February 3, 2026 at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Debbie was born in Plattsburgh the daughter of Albert "Herbie" and Bessie (Matott) LaPier.

Survivors include her brother Hilbert (Claribell) LaPier of West Chazy; several nieces and nephews.

Debbie was predeceased by her parents, sister, Bonnie Stromback; brother and sister-in-law, Robert (Sharron) LaPier.

Debbie was a lifelong resident of the Advocacy and Resource Centers around the Plattsburgh area for all of her adult life. She always made friends wherever she lived and had a great rapport with staff and residents alike.

Visitation will be held Saturday, February 7, 2026 from 10:00 to 11:00am at R.W. Walker Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. A funeral service will follow at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be held at a later date in the spring at St. Joseph's Cemetery in West Chazy.

The family would like to thank the ARC family for all they have done for Debbie over the years, especially the nursing staff at the Serenity House. They would also like to express their deepest gratitude to Holly for everything she has done for Debbie this last year. Bringing her to all her appointments, especially during such a difficult time, has been a tremendous help. Holly, you are an angel and we will never forget your kindness.
