CADYVILLE – Hugh C. Drollette, 81, of Hardscrabble Road, passed away February 1, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Plattsburgh on February 22, 1944, son of Hugh F. and Irene (Garsow) Drollette.

Hugh married the former Eva Couture on May 7, 1966 at St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora. He worked for many years at the Grand Union in Plattsburgh, retiring as the Grocery Manager.

During his younger years, Hugh enjoyed snowmobiling with his family, friends and snowmobile club.

Hugh was a skilled craftsman, and spent several years making furniture, picture frames, as well as many other items. He was an avid gardener and loved spending time outdoors.

Above all else was his love of family, they were his pride and joy. Nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his wife, sons, grandsons and great-grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Eva Drollette; sons, Hugh R. (Suzanne) Drollette and Michael J. (Barbara) Drollette; grandchildren, Eric (Meagan) Drollette, Joshua (Amanda) Drollette, Michael (Breana) Drollette; and great-grandchildren, Abigail Drollette, Isaac Drollette, and Stella Drollette; siblings, Georgette (Richard) Couture, Linda Drollette, Jackie Ryan, Shirley Drollette, Bernadette (Gary) Hart, and Andrea (Scott) Bosworth; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Hugh was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Walter Drollette and Scott Drollette; sisters, Barbara Bracken, Genevieve "Jenny" Dumas and Brenda Kramer; brothers-in-law, Patrick Ryan and Richard Dumas; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Loretta and George Boyd; nephew, Scott Bracken; and niece, Tonya Couture.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, February 5th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Church in Dannemora. A funeral mass will follow at 12:00 p.m.

Burial will take place in the spring in St. Joseph's Cemetery.

Donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
