Deborah Ann Grigsby Lary The Good Lord took one of his special angels back today. Momma Deb returned to the hands of her Savior on October 24, 2013. Deborah Ann Grigsby Lary, October 13, 1953, of Ruston, LA Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, October 26, 2013 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Ruston. Interment will follow at Wesley Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston. Deb was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was employed by Lincoln Parish School Board for 26 years at Hillcrest Elementary School before retiring very recently. Deb had a wonderful gift of encouraging and working with the special needs children at Hillcrest. She could always find a way to help these special children whether it was during the school year or teaching summer school. She went above and beyond her duties at all times. Momma Deb was happiest when all her boys, daughters-in-law, and grandchildren were around her kitchen table. She loved to cross-stitch and needle-point. Christmas stockings were stitched for everyone in her family. Deb was always giving all she had and doing for others. "Momma Deb" will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gene and Hazel Grigsby, and her brother, Jim Grigsby. Deb is survived by her husband of 38 years, Rob Lary of Ruston, LA; sons, Case Lary and wife Jennifer of Farmerville, LA; Luke Lary and wife Allie of Ruston, LA; and Ben Lary and wife Rachael of Ruston, LA; grandchildren, Easton Lary, Wade Watson, Clayton Watson; Colt, Parson, and Andie Lary; Jake and Emma Lary; brother, Jerry Grigsby of Clay, LA; brother-in-law, Scott Lary and wife Heather of Portland, OR; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews; and a host of friends. Pallbearers will be Phillip Carroll, Bill Carter, Dr. David Osafo, Dr. Kerry Byrnes, Doug Steed, and Track Kavanaugh. Honorary will be the Kingdom Seekers Sunday School Class, Hillcrest Elementary Faculty and Staff, and Lincoln Parish Special Education Dept. Memorials may be made to Discovering Downs with NELA, 101 Brook Orchard Blvd, Monroe, LA 71203. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.kilpatrickfuneralhomes.com
