Ms. Deborah Gay McBride was born on October 12, 1961, in Flint, Michigan to Rosie McBride and Donell Hopson.

Deborah graduated from Northern High School in 1979. She moved to Elkhart, Indiana in 2002, where she worked in healthcare. Deborah had an astounding sense of humor and brought laughter to the faces of anyone that was around her. She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, dancing, but most of all she loved spending time with family and friends. Deborah was always the life of the party.

Deborah leaves behind to cherish and hold her memories close: her father: Donell Hopson; nine children: Shamika McBride of Detroit, Michigan, Monica McBride, Donitta McBride, Donetta McBride all of Flint, Dionta (Karissa) McBride, Donisha (Ronald) Walden of Elkhart, Darnell (Richela) Magee, David (Pam) Magee all of Petal, Mississippi and Delane (Octavious) Magee of Dallas, Texas; her sisters, Robin Banks, Sandy (N.C.) Bowen, and Denise (Larry) Sawyers; 26 grandchildren: Rosie, Sybrina, Alegacy, Juwaun, Antrell, Harry IV, Alaya, Anta', Ahmod, Mariyon, Khloe, Khi'Ree, Skye, Amya, David Jr, Darnell Jr., Jahnell, D'Ntra, Carson, Karter, Kashmir, James, Hunnie, Harmony, Miracle and Rilee. 6 great grandsons: Q'von, Q'monei, Amir, DaeShaun, Anta' Jr, and Royal. Her special loved ones: Charles (Pam) McBride, Howard McBride, Markanthony Claiborne Jr., Curtis Jackson, Rickeyah Tasley and Henry Woodard.

Deborah was preceded in death by her mother, Rosie Pendleton; grandmother, Lucinda Evans; great granddaughter, Gnyomi Williams; a host of aunts and uncles.

Deborah's life was filled with laughter from her unwavering humor, charisma, and the utmost love for her family. She will be deeply missed as her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
