Deborah Miller, age 72, of Syracuse, who left this world on February 17, 2026, at Goshen Hospital. She was born on August 29, 1953 to Gean Ringler and Doris Ringler-Endland-Blackport, Deborah dedicated her life to her family and her passion for nurturing young minds as she owned and operated Grandma Debbie's Daycare for three decades, providing a loving environment for countless children. She married Harvey "J.R." Miller Jr on May 4, 1996.
Deborah was a woman of many interests and vibrant personality. She had a special fondness for the holiday season and delighted in adorning her home with festive Christmas lights, spreading joy to her loved ones and neighbors alike. She enjoyed engaging with thrilling stories, often immersing herself in murder mystery TV shows such as Unsolved Mysteries and the lighter-hearted comedy of The Big Bang Theory. Among her adventurous spirit, Deborah also made a name for herself as a race car driver at the New Paris Speedway, showcasing her competitive nature and love for speed. She was also a proud lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary in Goshen.
Deborah is survived by her adoring husband, J.R. Miller, and their children: Darci Lutz (Dan Weldy), Darla Beery, Wendi (Jarrod) Peace, Heaven (Brian) Todd, Chris Lawson and Renee (Todd) Mathewson. She will also be remembered by her siblings, Dennis Ringler Douglas (Cheryl) Ringler, along with 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Titus Funeral Home & Cremation Services, in Syracuse, Indiana at 1001 South Huntington Street. Her Life Celebration Visitation will take place on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and again from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 11:00 AM with Pastor Harold Gingrich officiating. Burial will follow to Syracuse Cemetery.
