Deborah Jo Morrison, aka Mama (1948–2025)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Deborah Jo Morrison (Mama), 77, of Marysville, Washington on July 14th, 2025, who finally went to rest after a four-year battle with lung cancer.

She was born in Seattle in 1948 to Dave and Florence (Wendelin) Morrison. Deb attended Queen Anne High School before getting married to Robert Stelmack and becoming a stay-at-home mother to their four children.

Deb will always be remembered for her positive energy and the way that she made friends everywhere she went. If you were a friend of hers, you would become part of her family. She was the neighborhood mom to all her kid's friends and would introduce herself proudly as "Mama." She loved spending time with her family, and Christmas was her favorite holiday. She loved going to Vegas with the girls and always had good luck (or OWLways as she said it.) Mama was adventurous and enjoyed camping and fishing. We will miss her every day, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.

Deborah was preceded in death by Dave Morrison (father), Florence Morrison (mother) and David Morrison (brother), and is survived by her siblings: Denis Morrison (brother), Andrea Budnick (sister) and Lance Morrison (brother), children: Kimberly Ringer, Rochelle Stelmack, Mitchell Stelmack and Maranda Morris, grandchildren: Lilly and Sophie Stelmack, Ashley Detzler, Austin Bradford, Braydon and Ethan Morris, her great grandchildren: Amoura Kelley, Ryder Detzler, Alice and Blake Cook, and her fur baby Ichabod (Icky).

Her celebration of life is set for August 9th, 2025, at the Tulalip Casino in Marysville, Washington, 10200 Quil Ceda Blvd Tulalip, WA 98271 at 2:00-5:00pm. In lieu of flowers, please feel free to share pictures and fond memories, or put a max bet on your favorite slot machine. We are grateful for the incredible support she received from her health care team over the years in addition to the life-saving blood donations she received. Please consider becoming a donor yourself in honor of Deb.
