Deborah Mudd Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Legacy Funeral Center - Scott Chapel on Aug. 13, 2024.
Deborah Gayle Gillespie Ross Mudd, 61, finished her race, went home to lay her crown at the feet of her Heavenly Father and sit in His lap in the early morning of August 9, 2024 peacefully at her home in Fairdale Ky.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 16, 2024 at First General Baptist Church of Shepherdsville, 445 W. Blue Lick Road, Shepherdsville, KY 40165, with cremation to follow. Visitation will be held from 11 AM to 6 PM on Thursday, and after 11 AM on Friday at the church.
Born on May 5th 1963 in Breckenridge County Kentucky, Debbie is preceded in death by her mother, Anna Ruth Eaton; and sister, Dancie Parsons.
Debbie was a prayer warrior and the epitome of love, faith, and devotion to Christ for her husband of 45 years as well as her 3 sons and a host of family and friends.
Debbie was the rock, partner and confidant of her husband, Michael F. Mudd Sr. Together, through everything they built a life filled with love, laughter and unwavering commitment to each other and their three sons, Michael F Mudd Jr. (Dawn), Derek Daniel Mudd (Christina), and Matthew Scott Mudd (Julie). Debbie also leaves behind her dad, William "Bill" Ross, her sister, Cindy Ross Goins, and her brother, Joe Ross (Melissa). Debbie was a grandmother to Brooklyn, Brianna, Makayla, Blake, Kenzie, Alexa, Haley, Cameron, Diggy, Lailah, Gabby, Alaya, Jordan, Tori, Paisley and Josie, as well as great-grandmother to Jakari, Auzlynn, and Hazel; and a host of nieces and nephews that she truly loved.
Debbie's love for God, her husband and her family and friends knew no bounds. She was the glue that held them together, always in prayer and intercession and putting everyone else before herself. Her selflessness, faithfulness, patience, and kindness inspired her sons to become the men they are today. Her husband cherished her as his soulmate, his confidante, his best friend and his forever love.
Debbie's faith in Christ sustained her through her battle with cancer and she was declared cancer free on September 29th 2023.
Debbie's generosity, compassion, and warmth touched countless lives, and her legacy will continue to inspire and uplift all who knew her.
In her passing, we take comfort in the knowledge that she is now in the loving arms of her Heavenly Father, where she will forever be at peace. We will miss her so much, but we will continue to celebrate her life and her unwavering commitment to her family and her faith in Christ.

Debbie was a great friend. I will never forget her sense of humor and her beautiful laugh. She had some good quotes that I am still currently using. she used this one a lot "it pukes me"... To her "everything was awesome". Debbie I am glad that you are at peace and the world will miss you. Mike and boys you had one of a kind but her memories will live on with you. Sorry for your loss...from a co worker at Quality Aluminum and Mueller Roofing
