Deborah Jean Pinther, passed peacefully on January 11, 2025. Born on December 4, 1962, in Ventura, California, Debbie led a life filled with love, community, and passion. Growing up in San Luis Obispo, California, she was surrounded by a large and loving family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Summers were spent swimming and camping at local lakes, creating cherished memories.
Debbie attended Mission Catholic School, Teach Elementary, Laguna Junior High, and went on to San Luis Obispo Senior High School in the Class of 1980. Debbie moved to Santa Cruz, where she met her former husband, Steve Pinther, and started a family. Together, they owned and operated a beloved pizza restaurant, hosting their children's and local sports teams, becoming cherished members of the community.
Later in life, Debbie moved to San Diego to be closer to her sisters and family. She continued her career in hospitality, most recently working at the new Snapdragon Stadium while continuing to work at Petco Park for the Padres, where she was admired by many.
Debbie had a love for the beach, classic rock 'n' roll, hip-hop, and antique collecting, and she was known for her unique sense of style and fashion. She is survived by her adored children, Steaphen Tyler Pinther, Shelby Eileen Pinther (Justin), and her grandson, Skyler Pinther. She is also survived by her mother, Pat Grosenbach, her sisters, Cindy (Ted) Bohler and Bobbi Bjorklund (Scotty), and her loving niece, Blair Bohler, and nephew, Teddy Bohler.
Debbie's legacy of love, community, and compassion for others will be remembered by all who knew her.
In honor of Debbie's lifelong love for animals, we kindly ask that you consider making a donation to the San Diego Humane Society in lieu of flowers.
