Deborah “Debbie” Marie Prejean, beloved mother, of Lake Charles, LA, passed away suddenly the evening of November 17, 2025, leaving a void in her family that cannot be filled.
Debbie was born in Lafayette, LA October 19, 1950, to John Edward Prejean and Dorothy Juanita Bridges Prejean. Debbie graduated from LaGrange High School in 1969, where she had many friends and was a member of the Gatorettes Dance line. Later on in life, Debbie furthered her education and attained a master’s degree in mass communications. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and always looked forward to outings for lunch with her friends.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Angelic Thibodeaux (Timothy) of Lake Charles and Kristie Boyd (Robert) of Cross Junction, VA; sister, Cheryl Ann Prejean of Lake Charles; best friend, Patricia LeBlanc of Lake Charles and many friends. She also leaves her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Angels family: Debbies grandchildren, Christopher Thibodeaux (Katie), of Charlottesville, VA, Kade Thibodeaux (Emily) of Lake Charles, LA, John Paul Thibodeaux of Lake Charles and Amberly Keaton (Daniel) of Bridge City, TX and their children, Kiley and Molly Thibodeaux, Jacob and Jennie Thomas and Greyson Thibodeaux, Emerson and Rosalynn Thibodeaux and Vanessa Thibodeaux and Jayden, Aaliyah, Paisley, Arabella, Colton, Bladen, and Darian Keaton as well as Kristie’s family: Debbies grandchildren, Azariah and Keenan Boyd.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
In respect of her wishes, Debbie will be interred with her parents at Consolata Cemetery at 1:00 PM Monday, December 1st, 2025.
