Deborah Raschke Obituary
Deborah S. Raschke passed away peacefully on September 6, 2025 with her family at her side. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Walter L. Raschke; her parents, Henry A. Swanson Jr. and Pearl Vicknair Swanson; and her siblings: Henry A. Swanson III (late, Gloria), Wayne A. Swanson (Frances), Michael W. Swanson, Barbara Turner (Roland), and Barry Swanson (Wendy). She leaves behind her two loving sons, Casey Raschke (Tyra) and Randy Raschke; her grandchildren: Eli, Sawyer, and Braellyn; her sister, Brenda Cummings; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Deborah has been a resident of Kenner, LA for the past 14 years. She retired in 2016 after spending many years working in healthcare as a medical biller. She enjoyed watching sports and was always in front of the tv wearing her favorite Saints shirt ready to watch the "Black and Gold" take the field. She had a big heart and loved her family deeply. She was very active in her sons' lives, helping at their schools when they were growing up, attending many field trips and class functions. After her retirement, she enjoyed spending time with her grandson, Sawyer. She looked forward to family get togethers so she could spend time and crack jokes with everyone. Whether talking to one of her boys, or her daughter-in-law Tyra, she would always greet you with "Hey Kiddo." Those special bonds Deborah held with her sons and daughter-in-law are what made her a special mom. She will be deeply missed for those conversations and her sense of humor. Everyone can find comfort that she is reunited in heaven with her husband, Walter, her mom and dad, and her siblings that have gone before her.
