Deanna Lucas Lambert, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026, at the age of 88 in Metairie, Louisiana. Born on October 3, 1937, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Deanna's life was a tapestry of love, dedication, and service to her community.

Deanna's journey through life was shared with her beloved husband, the late Donald Irvin Lambert, to whom she was married for 62 glorious years. Together, they raised a family that included their children Becky Curry Jemison (Mike), Robert J. Curry (Lisa), and Don S. Lambert, all of whom brought immense joy to Deanna's life.

The family tree flourished under Deanna's nurturing care, extending to five grandchildren-Terri Jemison Thornhill (Keith), Sean Jemison (Danielle), Tori Lambert, Logan Lambert, and Reese Lambert. She took great delight in their achievements and individualities. The arrival of her three great-grandchildren, Violet, Remy, and Max Thornhill, brought a new depth of joy to her later years, and she cherished every moment she spent with them.

Deanna was a member of the Sunrise Community Club and the local Tennis Club. Her creative passions were evident in her love for sewing and cross-stitch. These treasures are now cherished keepsakes for her family and friends, serving as a testament to her talent and patience.

Deanna's legacy is one of love, laughter, and the sweet simplicity of a life well-lived. Her presence was a comforting constant in the lives of those she touched.
