It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Deborah Anne Richard on March 2, 2026, in her newly found home of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

Deborah, affectionately known as "Debbi," was born in Beverly, Massachusetts, in 1965, the second of three daughters of the late David Taylor Fiske and Barbara Desjardins.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 39 years, John Richard; her sons, Andrew Richard of Florida and Tyler Richard of South Carolina; and her daughter, Emily Flegel (Bobby) of New Jersey. Debbi was the proud and loving grandmother of Parker and Braydie Flegel of Galloway Township, New Jersey, who were truly the apples of her eye.

She is also survived by her stepmother, Judy Fiske of Peabody, Massachusetts; her sisters, Jane Elizabeth Fiske of Massachusetts and Diana Taylor Charest of Massachusetts; and her nephews, Matt and Ryan, all of whom will miss her dearly.

Debbi most recently worked as a Member Services Manager for Elevance Health in Latham, New York. Prior to that, she spent many years as a Training Supervisor for Bed Bath & Beyond, supporting stores throughout Upstate New York and Connecticut. Earlier in her career, while raising her young children and working for JCPenney in South Jersey, Debbi enthusiastically embraced her many roles at home and in the community. She was the heart of her household-our organizer, our cheerleader, and our constant source of energy-while also dedicating her time to the PTA, Girl Scouts, and supporting ASAC youth sports in New Jersey.

Debbi had a vibrant spirit and a deep love for sunshine and the beach. She was a devoted super fan of the Dave Matthews Band and she found her greatest joy in spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren, whom she spoiled endlessly.

In true "Debbi" fashion, her Celebration of Life will not be a quiet or somber gathering. Instead, it will reflect the joy, music, laughter, and a little bit of sass that defined her life.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Debbi's life on Monday, April 20, 2026, at Blue Heron Pines Golf Club, 550 Country Club Drive, Egg Harbor City, New Jersey 08215. A remembrance service will be held from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, followed by light fare and refreshments from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

We hope you will join us to share memories, smiles, and perhaps even a few hearty laughs in honor of a life so beautifully lived.
