Diane Marie Vicinus (Schucker)
Born August 13, 1947 – Rochester, NY
Died March 3, 2026 – Myrtle Beach, SC
Age 78

Diane Marie Vicinus lived a life defined by love, loyalty, and a spirit that shone brightly wherever she went. Born in Rochester, New York, she carried with her a deep affection for family, a strong personal faith, and a personality that was as warm as it was witty.

Diane loved her family deeply and was a steadfast friend to many. She had a gift for staying connected-never missing a Christmas card, always remembering the small things that made others feel valued. Her life was rich with travel and experience, taking her from Rochester to England and across Europe, then to New Jersey, Georgia, California, and finally Myrtle Beach, where she spent her later years surrounded by sunshine and family.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Kenneth Vicinus, whose partnership and devotion were the foundation of her life. She was a loving mother to her son Kevin, daughter in law Michelle, and daughter Nicole-each of them a constant source of pride and joy. Diane also cherished her role as a grandmother to seven grandchildren: Kyle, Tyler, Ashley, Eric, Cody, Sydney, and Kylie. They brought her immeasurable happiness, and she delighted in every milestone, visit, and story they shared.

Diane was the last surviving child of William Frank Schucker and Kathleen Eleanor Schucker (Halley). She is preceded in death by her brothers Dale, Glenn, and Jack, with whom she shared a lifetime of memories, laughter, and family stories.

She had a strong personality-quick with a comeback, sharp in humor, and radiant in presence. Diane was fun to be around, grounded in her family, and deeply committed to the people she loved. Her warmth, her wit, and her unmistakable spark will be remembered by all who knew her.

A celebration of her life will be held this summer, with details to be announced.

Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished, the friendships she nurtured, and the countless moments of joy she brought into the world.
