Ellen Vicinus

Ellen (Frederickson) Vicinus, 72, of Plainville, formerly of Terryville, passed from this life on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was the wife of Paul Vicinus, with whom she shared 15 years of marriage. Born on November 26, 1948, Ellen was raised in Manchester where she attended local schools. She later resided in Terryville where she raised her family. Retired from Pension Consultants, Ellen made many friends, clients and co-workers over more than 30 years as a financial consultant. She and Paul were golf enthusiasts and members of Hawks Landing Country Club, sharing many happy times on the links together and in her ladies league. Ellen had a keen eye for home décor, enjoyed a competitive game of setback and fulfilled her love for nature by going camping and spending hours enjoying the serenity of the beaches of New England. She was selfless with her love and devotion to her children and grandchildren, leaving them priceless and cherished memories that will forever bring a smile to their faces. In addition to her husband, Paul, she leaves her children, Steven Stackpole and his wife Sarah Wadsworth-Stackpole; and Shelley Woronick and her husband Phillip Woronick, Jr; her step-children, Mary-Ellen Vicinus, Paul Vicinus, Jr and his wife Joan, William Vicinus and his husband Mark Buse and Karen Belyea and her husband, Dan; her grandchildren, Sam, Sean, Abbey, Allison, Kelsey, Phillip,III., Mitchell, Austin, Carrie, Kayla, Cody, Brandon, Brittany, Brandon and Jacob; and her three great-grandchildren, Bentley, Gracelyn and Kensington. She also leaves her sisters, Karen Juros and Joan Smith; and many nieces and nephews. A heart transplant recipient, Ellen may be remembered with contributions to www.donatelife.net, where you can also register to become an organ donor in her honor.
