Deborah Louise Rodriguez

Deborah Louise (Gearhart) Rodriguez, 68, of Houston, Texas passed away on August 11, 2024. She was born on November 10, 1955 in Nashville, Tennessee to William Henry Gearhart Jr. and Marion Opal (Falkenhagen) Gearhart. She was a member of Living Word Church of the Nazarene in Houston. She enjoyed doing puzzles and helping others. Debbie had a true servant's heart and will truly be missed. She fought for the rights of the disabled in city councils across the states throughout the 80's and 90's. Advocating for wheelchair ramps and parking for the disabled and continued that same spirit of caring for those who she saw needed someone to speak up for them.
In addition to her parents, Debbie is preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Rodriguez and her brother, William "Billy" Henry Gearhart III.
Survivors include her son, Chris Rodriguez (Heather Robinson); daughter Yvette Purcell (Daniel Purcell); grandchildren, Madeline Martinez Rodriguez, Estella & Victoria Purcell and Willow Rodriguez; siblings, Cindy Cannon, Tim Gearhart (Barbara) and Randy Gearhart (Darcy); along with extended family and friends.
A service celebrating Debbie's life will be held at 3pm on Saturday August 17th, at Living Word Church of the Nazarene in Houston, Texas.
