A loving mother, devoted wife, and dear sister, passed away at the age of 64 on October 11, 2023. She left this world peacefully surrounded by family after a year-long battle with ovarian cancer. She leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
Deborah was born in Toronto, Canada and grew up in Toronto and Barrie alongside three older siblings. She was a proud graduate of the Barrie Central High School Class of 1977, where she made lifelong friends and cherished memories that would stay with her throughout her life. In 1979, she married her high school sweetheart, Richard (Rick) Ruebusch, and their love story continued for an impressive 44 years, setting an example of commitment and devotion that inspired all who knew her.
As a mother, Deborah was a pillar of strength and love. She welcomed her three daughters, Yvonne, Rachel, and Victoria, into the world with open arms, guiding them with wisdom, kindness, and a sense of adventure. She instilled in them the values of independence, academic achievement, and the importance of cherishing family bonds. Deborah's dedication to education led her to achieve excellence in her field. She graduated with honors from Oregon Health Sciences University with a degree in Dental Hygiene in 1993. Her passion for her profession was evident in her unwavering commitment to her patients and colleagues.
Deborah's adventurous spirit led her to travel all across the United States and explore five continents, including unforgettable journeys to South Africa, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, and Europe. Her heart felt a profound connection to her ancestral roots in Ireland, where she created cherished memories and a deep sense of belonging. Deborah Ruebusch's memory will live on through the lives she touched and the love she shared. She will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her dedication to her profession, and her candid spirit that inspired all those fortunate enough to cross her path.
Deborah is survived by her loving husband, Rick, her three beloved daughters, three granddaughters, two siblings, Raymond and Dianne, and a multitude of friends and family members who will forever treasure the moments they shared with her. She was predeceased by her mother, Mary Devitt (n. Ellis), her father James Devitt and her brother Dennis Devitt. A celebration of Deborah's life will be held at 11:00am MST January 9th, 2024 at St. Pius X in Billings, Montana with a celebration of life to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Ovarian Cancer Institute, in honor of Deborah's compassion towards others suffering from the disease and her giving spirit. May she rest in eternal peace, her memory forever cherished in our hearts.
