Deborah Shoopman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Caruth-Hale Funeral Home on Nov. 2, 2022.
Deborah Louise Shoopman, of Hot Springs Village, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022, at home. She was born on September 2, 1955, in DeQueen, Arkansas. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior at an early age. She found her home at Crossgate Church, where she remained a faithful member until God called her home. She enjoyed fellowshipping and worshiping with her church family, oil-on-canvas painting, gardening, volunteering, caregiving, and singing. She loved all animals, and leaves behind her three cherished cats, Japetoe, Gadsbie, and Splash, and one dog, Sport. Debbie was happiest when she was helping others, and she will forever be remembered for her generosity.
Debbie resided in the community of Hot Springs Village, where she was known as a friend-to-all. She was the glue that held her neighborhood together and leaves behind many beloved neighbors and dear friends there.
Debbie was preceded in death by her father, James E. Johnson and leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Eva Lou Johnson; three siblings, Shelia Siegel, James (Susan) Shoopman, and Candice (Gary) Gwin; her dearest friend, Carolyn Hughes; many favorite nieces, nephews, and cousins, and a host of other neighbors, family, and many, many friends. She will be dearly missed by all.
A memorial service will be held Friday, November 4, at 10 a.m. at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home in Hot Springs, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hot Springs Village Animal Welfare League.
