Deborah Shore Obituary
She was a 1969 graduate of South Catholic High School. Deborah was employed at Wesleyan University, Middletown as a financial administrative assistant in the music department for 15 years before retiring in 2022. She found her greatest joys as a passionate gardener and in her love of animals.
Deborah is survived by her husband John Shore, and her two daughters, Katherine Shore (Frederick Rountree) and Christine Shore, her son Timothy Shore (Summer Shore), her two grandchildren Jackson and Chase Shore, and her brother Ronald Ostafin (Shelia Ostafin).
She was predeceased by her mother, Nellie (Shemansky) Dunn, step-father Daniel Dunn, her father Frederick Ostafin, her sister Dolores Day, and her brother Richard Ostafin.
Funeral services will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of The Wallingford Home 809 North Main Street Ext. Wallingford. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be sent to the Connecticut Humane Society at cthumane.org

Dear Shore family,
I send sympathy and many wonderful memories of Deb. For decades I relied on her to assist and advise me at Wesleyan. She always responded with witty and honest appraisals. She was true to herself in all situations. What a marvelous example for us all. I hope that her garden flourishes in the spring in honor of everything she meant.

John and family,
I am so sorry for the loss of your beautiful wife, mother and gams. She was a wonderful colleague and a great friend to me in all the years we worked together. We shared stories and pictures of our families, enjoyed regular lunches together with our buddy Bob, and dressed up many years for Halloween, just to be silly every now and then. I was sad when she retired as I missed seeing her daily, but today my heart aches knowing I won't hear her laugh or see her smile again. My condolences to all of you. Just know all her furry friends were waiting for her and have welcomed her home.
