Deborah Lishman Spence, age 80, of Kosciusko, MS passed away on March 14, 2026, at Baptist Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi.
Deborah, born January 31, 1946, to Lexie and Margie Lishman, was a devoted nurse whose life work centered on caring for others. Throughout her career, she was known for her compassion, dedication, and gentle spirit. She brought comfort to countless patients and families, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.
She had a deep love for animals and a soft heart for every creature she met. Deborah also had a passion for jewelry and found joy in pieces that reflected her vibrant personality.
Above all, she cherished her family. They were her greatest pride, and she loved them fiercely, always offering support, warmth, and unwavering devotion.
Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, Lexie and Marjorie Lishman; her brothers, David and Jerone Lishman; and her nephews, Mark, Perry, and Gregory Lishman.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Spence; her son, Michael Suber (Lorraine) of Albuquerque, New Mexico; her nephew, David (Jillian) Lishman; and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews whom she adored.
Deborah will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, her unmistakable spirit, and the love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives in the many lives she touched, and in her faith, she carried throughout her life.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Jordan Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Parkway Cemetery. Rev. Gary Glazier will officiate the services.
