Deborah Standley Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lyons Funeral Home on May 12, 2025.
Deborah A. (DeLuca) Standley, 72, of Danvers, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, surrounded by her loving family after a brief illness.
Born in Beverly on July 16, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Carmen and Mary (Wells) DeLuca. A 1971 graduate of Danvers High School, Deborah lived in Granby and Salisbury, Massachusetts, for many years before returning to her hometown in recent years.
In her youth, Deborah found great joy in tap dancing and treasured time spent at the family camp in Freedom, New Hampshire where she enjoyed water skiing and boating. A lifelong learner and creative spirit, she was an avid reader and enjoyed painting, needlepoint, and playing boardgames with her family. Most of all, she was devoted to her family and to her faith, which became the true passion of her life. Her deep commitment to understanding and living her faith was an inspiration to those who knew her.
She leaves four children who brought her endless pride: Jeffery Standley and his wife Bobbi Jean of Dover, NH; Jennifer Thewes and her husband Danny of Newton, NH; Heather Standley of Greenland, NH; and Kimberly LaValley and her husband Christopher of Salisbury, MA. She is also survived by her sister, Kathy Parker, and her husband Darryl of Danvers; her former husband, William Standley of Dover, NH; and her dear friend, Carol Deveno. Deborah was the cherished grandmother of Destiny, Annika, Livia, Chloe, Christopher, Zackery, Domanik, and Bella, and she leaves several nieces and nephews who will remember her with love.
She was predeceased by her brother, Philip DeLuca.
Visitation will be Friday, May 16, 2025 from 10:00a.m. until 11:45a.m. in C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. A funeral service will follow at noon. Burial will be in Annunciation Cemetery, Hobart St., Danvers. Relatives and friends are invited. In lieu of flowers, donations in Deborah's memory may be made to Hope for NH Recovery, 293 Wilson Street # 101, Manchester NH 03103. Online condolences at www.LyonsFuneral.com.
