Deborah Lee Williams, 83, was born the 19th child to the union of Peter Williams SR. and Onie Jackson in the city of Fresno, Ca on June 27th, 1942. When she was 9 years old, Deborah's mother passed away, then at 17 her father passed away due to ill health. When he could not take care of her and her sister Naomi, leaving them to the foster care system, Deborah's brothers joined the military and held several positions in the Navy Seals, CIA and many others. While in foster care, Deborah and her sister Naomi became an accomplished Gospel pianist and songwriter. Deborah used her talents in church as well and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was baptized at Fresno Temple in Fresno, CA.
Deborah always had an unparalleled zest for life. She had a beautiful and had an infectious smile that lit up any space she was in. She was beautiful and smart. At the young age of 7, Deborah taught herself to sew. As she grew older. she would earn money as a seamstress at a cleaners. Deborah graduated and earned her diploma at the young age of 16 from Edison High School in 1959. From there Deborah moved from Fresno to Sacramento, CA. Where she would truly begin her life and live it throughout Sacramento.
Deborah, or better known as Debi, took many odd or side jobs as a seamstress, a pianist, and/or organist for multiple churches throughout Sacramento. While also working for the State of California in the Correctional Department and handling finance. She met and befriended many.
In September of 1963, she would marry Donald Price Sr. They got married in Carson City, Nevada. To that union Debbie had Donald Earl Price Jr. They would divorce in 1966.
In 1977, Deborah bore her youngest son, Warren Joseph Beatty, where she raised him and was a constant figure in all the activities that Warren was involved in. In High School, Warren was involved in band and football. Deborah often would sew and make band members uniforms. She would also travel with Warren and the band. When Warren joined the football team, Debbie would make or alter the football team and cheer uniforms.
Deborah, often lent her multi-talents to friends, family, churches, and several organizations throughout her lifetime. Debbie was a member of the Eastern Star Shriners Hospital for over 20 years. She played and traveled with the Gospel Music Workshop of America Choir, locally and abroad.
Deborah was a well known designer and seamstress. In 1969, The Observer Newspaper, wrote an article on her fashions and designs. She designed for both men and women. She designed clothes, travel and garment bags, wedding and prom design and monogram Pastor's Robe Garment bags as well as lap scarves for First Ladies and friends.
Throughout the years Deborah made and designed her own clothes. People would come from all over to get a designer dress. She would also tailor suits, outfits, for many famous people and local friends.
Early Saturday morning on October 19th, 2025, Deborah Williams deported this life quietly in her sleep. She was preceded in death by her parents Perter Williams Sr. and Onie Jackson. Her 15 brothers and 3 sisters, and the several nieces and nephews.
She leaves behind two cherished sons: Donald E. Price Jr and Warren J Beatty (Beesy Beatty), 2 grandchildren: Joshlyn Gipson and Terron Chambers (Tia Chambers), 2 great-grandchildren: Khalil and Kahleah Chambers, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
