Deborah Wood Obituary
Deborah Wood, 85, of Oden, AR, passed away August 15, 2025, in Fort Smith, AR, with family by her side. Deborah was born on May 17, 1940, in Pine Ridge, AR, to Ottis R. E. and Edna H. (Hicks) Gortemiller. She is preceded in death by both parents, son James Wood, brothers Gary Gortemiller and Bobby Gortemiller.
Deborah is survived by her daughters Heather Smith and husband Fraser, Becky Randolph, grandsons Ryan Revier, Michael Gilvarry, and James Dean Wood, great grandchildren Desiree, Austin and Livie, great great grandson Carter, nieces, nephews and a host of other family and friends.
Graveside service Saturday, August 16, 2025, 6pm at Gortemiller Cemetery in Oden, AR. En lieu of flowers make a donation to your local animal rescue shelter, in memory of the love Deborah shared for all animals. Arrangements under the direction of Thornton Funeral Home in Mount Ida, AR. Guest register at www.thorntonfh.com
