Debra L. Beldon, 70, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024. Deb was born on August 29, 1954, to Dale and Hazel (Burden) Beldon. Deb was a 1972 graduate of Waite High School (Toledo). Deb worked 23 years at the Lucas County Sheriff's Office, until her health caused her to take an early retirement. She really enjoyed working for the Toledo Mud Hens at Skeldon Stadium, where she was known as Deputy Deb. The most important job of her life was raising her son, Christopher, which she always considered more of a privilege, and blessing, than a job.
Debra was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Hazel Beldon; sisters, Susan Beldon and Marilyn Kelly (Tenn.); and nephew Todd Kelly. Surviving is her son, Christopher (Tori) Beldon; grandchildren, Jasmine and Chandler, Oregon, Ohio; sisters, Anne (Harlon) Starnes (Tenn.), Nancy Jo (Fl.); nieces, Paula (Keith) Starnes, Tara Wilborn; and many great nieces and nephews; best friend (like a sister) Marsha Thomas; and her daughters, Sarah and Katie. There were a few good friends who helped get her through this life, and she love them all dearly.
The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, Ohio, 43616 Sunday, December 8, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of Celebration of Life at 4:00 p.m. Interment will be private in Memorial Park Cemetery of Lima.
