James Beldon Obituary

James W. Beldon, 89, of Plymouth, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, Aug. 15, 2025. He was born on Feb. 27, 1936, in Mishawaka to the late Lawrence Beldon and Hazel (Heim) Beldon.
On July 9, 1955, James married the love of his life, Nondus (Hanselman) Beldon. Together they built a loving home centered on family values, hard work, and dedication.
James was a proud union commercial flooring contractor who built his business from the ground up. Known as a hardworking and humble man, his strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family were the cornerstones of his life. He took great pride not only in his trade, but in the family legacy he created through his example of perseverance and integrity.
He is survived by his three children: Terry (Renea) Beldon, Shellie Day, and Sherry (Doug) Bernish; six grandchildren; and seventeen great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his brother, Larry Beldon, and sister, Joann Flemming.
James was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife, Nondus and two sisters, Barbae Stuber and Kay Owens.
He will be remembered as a strong, devoted, and hardworking man whose life was a testament to the values he held most dear-faith in family, perseverance, and integrity. His legacy will continue to live on through those he loved so deeply.
