Debra Renee, lovingly known to some as “Nay”, was born on June 19, 1963. in Chicago Illinois, as the second born of four girls to W. Pearl Bryant and Lou Edward Weeden (aka Buddy). Renee’s mother remarried and she and her sisters were adopted by Leroy Bryant when Renee was a young girl. Her family moved back to Clovis, New Mexico and she spent most of her upbringing there. Throughout school Renee was a great student and was very popular with her classmates; many of which she is still friends with to this day. Renee had a lively personality and was known to play a prank or two.

She was also a hard worker and consistently excelled to higher level management positions with every company in which she worked. After attending college at Eastern New Mexico University, Renee accepted a position as a lending center operations manager in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She was extremely effective in her role and after a couple of years was recruited by a competitor to run an entire lending operation in Jacksonville, Florida, where she lived and worked for over 10 years. Her company relocated Renee and the lending operation to its home office in San Antonio in 2006. She lived there for 3 years and then changed professions and moved to the Dallas- Fort Worth Metroplex.

Renee’s personality was legendary and unforgettable and those who knew her have their own stories to tell. She was witty and often had funny observations or quick comebacks to any situation. She was a very private person, but her love ran deep for those closest to her. The depth of her love incited deep loyalty and commitment from close relatives, friends and coworkers.

Renee’s renowned great grandfather, James P. Moorer, was the senior pastor of the family’s Baptist church in Clovis, New Mexico. From an early age she was introduced to Jesus Christ, and this is where love of the Lord and her faith began. Renee continued her faith walk throughout her life and participated in many prayer groups. She was also prayer partners with many friends and family members. Renee also used the Facebook platform to provide spiritual insight and inspiration to her many followers.

Debra Renee Bryant, 62, peacefully transitioned to her eternal home with the Father on February 16, 2026. Renee is preceded in death by her mother, W. Pearl Bryant, her father Lou Edward Weeden, stepfathers Leroy C. Bryant and Fred Allen Dale and her brother, Anthony Wells, Sr.

She is survived by four sisters, Annette Halsey-Williams, Cindy Marie Bryant, Tomeka Nichole Dale and T.S. Weeden and one stepbrother, Apostle Howard T. Milo, her mother’s only living sibling Jean (Cookie) Chandler, and a whole host of beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and many caring friends and coworkers.
