Debra Conly Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McGhee-Givnish Funeral Home, Inc. on Mar. 11, 2024.
Debra Ann "Debbie" Conly passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the age of 69.
For 32 years, Debbie was the loving wife of Gary M. De Palo. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her loving children Nila De Palo (Greg), Gary M. De Palo Jr. (Nicole), and Briana Rosalyn De Palo Prado (Javier), her grandchildren Caitlyn Amanda De Palo, Janelle Lora-De Palo, Sophie Prado, Camryn De Palo, Christian De Palo, and the twins Javi and Jace Prado, as well as her siblings Glenn Conly, Bruce Conly (Donna), David Conly and Penny Ellison (John). Her countless cousins, nieces and nephews remember her for always seeing them, loving them and making them feel special.
Debbie grew up in Warminster, the oldest of five children. She worked in the family business, Yum Yum Bake Shops, and attended William Tennent High School (Class of 1972) and Temple University. She loved working in the lab at Abington Hospital. She relocated to Miami in the early 1980's and met Gary De Palo, the love of her life. Together, they raised three children with love and a sense of humor.
Debbie was a friend to all animals and rescued so many in her lifetime, especially cats. Debbie graciously and courageously battled breast cancer off and on for 20 years. The strength and dignity she displayed every day in the face of that challenge impressed and inspired all of us. She will be remembered as an incredibly thoughtful person, always listening intently, remembering what you needed, often delivering it to your door without you ever asking. To say she will be missed by all those she touched is a massive understatement.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family on Thursday, March 14, 2024 starting at 11:30 AM with a Funeral Service to follow at 1:00 PM at the McGhee-Givnish Funeral Home, 690 Belmont Avenue, Southampton, PA 18966. Her interment will be handled privately.
Flowers are welcomed or, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hand2Paw at https://hand2paw.org/ or to Metavivor at https://www.metavivor.org/.
