Debra Covington Obituary

Debra Williams Covington
June 14, 1956 - January 27, 2023
West Columbia, South Carolina - Debra went to be with the angels on January 27th. She was a beloved Mother, Grandmother and Sister. She described her life as blessed. Proceeded in death by her parents, Willie R. Williams and Harriet D. Williams and her husband Johnny Sullivan Jr. She is survived by her daughters Amanda Kay Covington and Jan Covington Bridges (Luke). Also by her granddaughters Lyla and Holland Bridges, and her loving sisters Harriet Williams and Sherri Williams Thrasher.
Debra graduated from Jefferson Davis Academy where she played the clarinet, and went on to get a paralegal associate from Baptist College. She worked as a paralegal in Columbia and spent 16 years as the director of training for the SC Sheriffs Association.
She will be remembered for her playful spirit. She loved to laugh and have fun with family and friends. She was a loving and supportive Mother to her girls. Her insightful advice was always a welcomed comfort. She was incredibly generous, and her legacy will be the positive impact she made on every person she met.
