Debra G. Crabtree, age 67, formerly of Uhrichsville, died peacefully, Saturday, June 21, 2025, in Divine Health and Rehabilitation at New Philadelphia.
A daughter of the late James and Delores Luyster Rollins, Debra was born in Alexandria, Louisiana on August 25, 1957.
She was a graduate of Claymont High School and on April 17, 1994, married William E. Crabtree. Together the couple celebrated 25 years of marriage prior to his death on April 22, 2013.
For many years Debra worked for Motel 6 at New Philadelphia and later worked as a cashier for the former Dairy Mart at both Uhrichsville and New Philadelphia.
She enjoyed farming, raising animals and planting and harvesting crops, and was known for her love of crafting which included cross stitch, quilting, and crocheting. Above all, Debra loved helping others and caring for her family.
She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth Thompson of Massillon; two sisters, Tammy (Timothy) Graham of New Philadelphia and Tia (Scott) Dickey of Uhrichsville; five grandchildren, Kendyl Rossiter, Brandon Thompson, Austin Thompson, Dylan Garvin and Sebastian Thompson; two great-grandchildren, Jeon and Elijah Rossiter; her best friend, Stella Parcell of Gnadenhutten as well as her nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Debra was preceded in death by a son, Lester “Ricky” Lucas, Jr., and a sister, Tracie Rollins King.
In keeping with Debra’s wishes there will be no public visitation or services. The Linn-Hert-Geib Funeral Home & Crematory at New Philadelphia is handling cremation care.
