Debra "Debbie" Kay Latham Pepper of Mantee, MS, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Monroe Regional Hospital in Aberdeen, MS at the age of 69. Debbie was born in San Antonio, TX on November 15, 1955, to James Wilbert Latham and Dorothy Lee Helms Latham. She retired from Mississippi State University in Starkville, MS after working in the Registrar's Office and in Continuing Education and a member of Grace Covenant Church in Maben, MS. Debbie loved to craft, cook, sit on her screened in porch on the lake, spend time with her family and enjoyed serving and fellowshipping with her Christian friends. Debbie is survived by one daughter, Kelley (Chris) Chandler, Mantee, MS; one stepdaughter, Christie (Greg) Bodge, Stafford, VA; one stepson, Michael (Hailey) Pepper, Birmingham, AL; six grandchildren, Evan (Olivia) Chandler, Bailey Chandler, Mary Helen Chandler, Isaac Bodge, Ava Pepper and Molly Pepper. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Charles Everette "Buddy" Pepper, Jr.; both parents, James Wilbert Latham and Dorothy Lee Helms Latham; one sister, Marilyn Sue Latham Hubbard and one brother, James Wilbert "Jimmy" Latham, Jr. Funeral Services for Mrs. Debbie will be at 2:00PM on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora, MS. The family will receive friends and loved ones for a time of Visitation on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at Oliver Funeral Home and also on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, from 9:00AM until time for services at 2:00PM. Interment will follow at Lebanon Methodist Church Cemetery in Eupora, MS. Bro. Jonathan McBride will officiate the services. Pallbearers will be Evan Chandler, Bailey Chandler, Cliff Ballard, Jason Hubbard, Bradley Chandler and Brad McCool. Oliver Funeral of Eupora is honored to be entrusted with all arrangements.
