Gregory Wayne Pepper, 62, passed away on March 9, 2026, in Sugar Land, Texas, following a lengthy illness.

Greg was born on June 16, 1963, in Missouri City, Texas, to Charles and Judy Pepper. He was raised in the Baptist faith. He attended Hollibrook Elementary School and graduated from Dulles High School in 1981. He later earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Houston–Clear Lake in 1991.

Greg was known for being extremely active, sharp intellect, and remarkable memory. He enjoyed hunting, sports, and the outdoors.

Shortly after graduating high school, Greg enlisted in the United States Army. He completed basic training at Fort Gordon, Georgia, followed by Airborne School at Fort Benning, Georgia. He served with the 82nd Airborne Division Signal Battalion at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. During his military career, Greg earned numerous commendations, including the Army Achievement Medal (Second Oak Leaf Cluster), completion of the Noncommissioned Officer Academy PLDC, Expert Marksmanship qualification, and the Good Conduct Medal. After four years of active duty, he continued his service as an active Army Reservist for an additional twelve years.

Following his military service, Greg built a successful career as a sales and manufacturer's representative in the blower and compressor industry. He was also a founding member of ACFM Equipment, Inc.

Greg is survived by his two daughters, Madison and Brianne. By his former wife, Anne, who remained a meaningful part of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Judy and Richard Grasmick and Charles Pepper; his sister, Pam Mueller; and his aunt and uncle, Patsy and Bill DeArmond.

The family extends their sincere gratitude to the staff of the Houston VA Hospital, Paradigm Sugar Land, Kindred Hospital Sugar Land, and Harris County APS for their compassionate care and support.

Greg's life will be honored privately by his family. A private interment will take place at

Houston National Cemetery.

While his family mourns his loss, they find comfort in knowing he is now free from his troubles and the burdens of his world. He is at peace.
