Debra "Deb" Jean Endres, 71, of Vandalia, IL passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at SBL Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care, in Vandalia, IL.

Deb was born June 26, 1954, the daughter of Donald Arnett and Shirley (Quigley) Arnett in DuQuoin, IL. She married Jeff Endres on August 17, 1974, in Elkville, IL. Deb was a special education teacher for 34 years, working in both Vandalia and Triad school districts, and she loved teaching her students. Deb was a member of Alpha PSI Sorority and First United Methodist Church in Vandalia. Her hobbies included gardening, reading, cooking, and traveling. She enjoyed going on cruises and going to the beach. She was an avid Green Bay Packers and St. Louis Cardinals fan. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends.

Deb is survived by her husband; Jeff Endres of Vandalia, IL, daughters; Erin Endres of St. Louis, MO and Megan Moulton & Josh of Vandalia, IL, granddaughters; Amelia and Caroline Moulton of Vandalia, IL, brother; Danny Arnett & Cheryl of Vergennes, IL, aunt; Rebecca Arnett of McLeansboro, IL, brother and sister-in-law; Terry and Debbie Endres of Murphysboro, IL, sisters-in-law; Cheryl Endres & Whitney of Murphysboro, IL, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her nephew; Adam Arnett, her niece; Kimberly Arnett, her brother-in-law; Donald Endres, her father and mother-in-law; Charles & Harriette Endres.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 23, 2026, at 11:00 AM, at First United Methodist Church, in Vandalia, IL, officiated by Pastor Curtis Flake. A visitation will be held Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 5:00PM to 7:00PM, at First United Methodist Church, in Vandalia, IL and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the Church from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made out to Alzheimer's Disease Research and Special Olympics Illinois. Miller Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL is in charge of arrangements. Online memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.millerfh.net.

Deb will always be remembered for her caring and generous personality and her warm smile that always made everyone feel welcome.
