Ms. Debra Diane Faircloth, age 69 of Dry Prong, Louisiana entered eternal rest on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at Tioga Community Care Center.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James T. and Millie E. Faircloth and her grandparents, Herbert and Hilda Gentry and Earnest and Rosalie Faircloth.
Those left to cherish her memory are her aunt, Linda Faircloth; 2 cousins, Mitzi Cogdill (Marty) and Jack Faircloth, Jr.; dearest friend, Jessica; and her beloved Scottish terrier, Atticus.
Debra was very unique and highly intelligent. Of her many college degrees, her degree in social work was her passion. Debra spent many years working with the Louisiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence. From television interviews to the court room, Debra was there working against domestic violence. She also had a great love for writing, editing, and publishing short stories. Debra loved collecting antiques, but the absolute love of her life was her Scottish terrier, Atticus.
The family greatly appreciates the care she received from Brian and the staff at Tioga Community Care and the nurses and staff of Compassionate Care Hospice. Thank you all for the compassion shown to her. A special thanks to Mitzi and her husband, Marty, for the many hours spent taking care of her beloved dog and cats and fulfilling all her needs and special requests and taking Atticus to visit her to help make her happy.
Memorial contributions can be sent to the Louisiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
