Debra Farmer Obituary

Debra K. Farmer, age 77, beloved wife of 59 years of Ray, passed away December 5, 2025. Debbie is no longer in pain, as she has journeyed to a better place where she has transitioned to a new life. She is joined in heaven with family, friends and fury animals Spud, Gus, and Kat, and ALL IS GOOD.

Debbie is survived by her devoted husband Ray; daughters Melissa (Cole) and Amy; brother Larry (Pam) and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Claude and Fern, brother Lindy, and sister Dolores.

Debbie graduated from Edwards County Senior High in Albion, Ill., and attended Eastern Illinois University and Olney Community College. She worked as an Executive Assistant at Boatmen's National Bank and later at Parks College of St. Louis University. She devoted many hours of volunteering with United Way and the Laverna Evans PTO and, along with her friends, co-founded the PTO at Marie Shaffer School. She and Ray loved to travel and were able to visit many different State Parks and National Parks, and they both especially loved the mountains.

Memorial donations are suggested to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Hospice of Southern Illinois, or a meaningful charity of one's choice. Online condolences may be shared at www.wfh-ofallon.com or by sending a card to the Farmer family at PO Box 391, O'Fallon, IL 62269.

A special word of gratitude is extended to Hospice of Southern Illinois for their kindness and compassion shown to Debbie and the entire Farmer family, especially Christine, Jackie, Candace, Nancy, Chrystal, Macy, and Danielle. Their service was outstanding and is greatly appreciated.

A Memorial Remembrance gathering is being planned for the Spring 2026.
