Debra Gajdos Obituary
Debra Lee Gajdos {Hembree}, age 63, truly passed away quietly with her husband George at her side on 7/12/25. Heaven will be lucky to have her.
Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, Deb spent part of her life in Alabama and ended up in Akron, Ohio where she met and married George Gajdos, her husband of 27 years. She earned a Master's Degree in Geographic Information Systems Programming and worked for Lockheed Martin in the defense department.
Deb also loved art, photography and was involved in many charitable works.
She was also involved in Chinese Martial Arts and had achieved the level of Brown Belt in Shaolin Kungfu. She is preceded in death by her mother Barbara Dittman, step-mother Judy Hembree {Stump} and father Cecil Hembree.
She is survived by her husband and her brother Michael (Kathleen) Hembree.
Family and friends are invited to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44305) on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 12pm until 1pm. A Celebration of Deb's Life will begin at 1pm.
