Debra Hambrick

Debra Lynn Hambrick, age 66, of Dawsonville, Georgia, passed away on October 29, 2025. Born and raised in Stone Mountain, Georgia, Debra was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all her heart. From a young age, she shared her beautiful singing voice in church, lifting the hearts of all who heard her.
Debbie was deeply devoted to her family and cherished the close bond she shared with her two sisters. She was married to the love of her life, Gregory Hambrick, who preceded her in death in 2017. She is survived by her loving parents, Robert and Mary Cushen; her sisters, Denise Pepper and Dana Webb; and numerous nieces and nephews whom she adored as her own children.
For over 20 years, Debra worked at Cumming Elementary School, where she brought joy, kindness, and care to countless students. She especially loved assisting with the Cumming Elementary chorus, sharing her passion for music with the children she treasured so dearly. Her warm spirit and radiant smile will be remembered by all who knew her.
Debra was also an avid Alabama football fan, cheering on her team with pride and enthusiasm. Above all, she will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her love of family, and her generous heart.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, November 7, from 3:00–7:00 p.m. and Saturday, November 8, from 12:00–2:00 p.m. at McDonald and Son Funeral Home in Cumming, Georgia, where the funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 8.
