Debra Reilly Obituary
Debbie Reilly, 63, of Clinton, NJ passed away on February 23, 2026. She was born in Staten Island of which she lived until September 2025. She maintained deep roots throughout her life there.
Debbie was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister whose greatest joy came from her family. She is survived by her loving daughter, Katie; her son-in-law, Andrew Lobasso; and her cherished grandson, Nathaniel, who brought endless light and pride to her life. She is also survived by her mother, Joyce Taverner and her siblings, Donna Cavorley, Joseph Taverner, brother-in-law Andy Cavorley, sister-in-laws Maribel Taverner and Nellie Taverner and her 3 nephews and 5 nieces. She is preceded in death by her father, Donald Taverner and brother, James Taverner.
Debbie had a special place in her heart for animals, especially dogs. Her compassion and dedication were evident in her involvement with Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue, where she gave her time and love to help animals find safe and caring homes. Her kindness, warmth, and generous spirit touched many lives - both human and animal alike.
Debbie will be remembered for her loving heart, her unwavering devotion to her family, and her deep compassion for animals. Her memory will live on in the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Sunday, March 1st, from 4:00–8:00 PM at Hanley Funeral Home, 60 New Dorp Lane, Staten Island, NY 10306. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 2nd, at 10:15 AM at St. Charles Church , 644 Clawson Street, Staten Island, NY 10306.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Louie's Legacy Animal Rescue in Debbie's memory.
