Debra Scott Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Coker-Mathews Funeral Home on Jan. 10, 2026.
Debra Lanell Cloud Scott, age 67 passed away January 4, 2026 in Hunt Regional Medical Center in Greenville, TX. Debra was born October 11, 1958 in Brownwood, TX to parents Charles and Lora Nell Cloud. She was her Mother's pride and joy, and of course was Daddy's little girl from the moment she was born.
Debbie graduated from Garland High School in 1978. She later met Clifford Scott who became the love of her life. They were married August 25, 1979 having over 46 wonderful years together. Debbie loved all things Disney and was always collecting Disney items. For their 25th wedding anniversary she and Clifford went on a Walt Disney Cruise, which was Debbie's dream vacation. They would spend weekends together going to movies, walking around the many Malls in the area, and loved going fishing together. But their favorite activity was going to the huge Canton Market. They would spend the entire day checking out the many booths and wide variety of items for sale.
Debbie began her long manufacturing career working for Boenig making airplane parts. Later she was employed by Lebanon Aircraft Manufacturing, and finished her career with Sahara Aviation making parts for Chinook helicopters. She retired in 2023 after 27 years.
Debra was a Baptist and loved hearing her grandfather, Rev. C.F. Cloud
preach. He was a Baptist minister for most of his adult life.
Preceding her in death were her hero and loving father, Charlie Cloud. Also fraternal grandparents Charles F. and Lillian May Cloud, and maternal grandparents William "Bill" and Nina Bell King. Other family members waiting for her were Uncle Noel and Aunt Alma King, Uncle "Bob" Robert D. King, and Uncle Earl Hunt.
Surviving family members include her husband Clifford Scott who will truly
miss her love, devotion and companionship, and her loving mother Nell Cloud whom she took such great care of the past several years. Also surviving are her Aunt Mary Hunt of San Angelo, TX and Aunt Phyllis King of the Austin area, along with 8 cousins and their families.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 15, 2026 in Coker - Mathews Funeral
Home of Greenville. Visitation is at 9:00 A.M. with service to follow at I 0:00 A.M., and burial following in the Dallas-Fort-Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, TX. Although Debbie is not a veteran, her husband Clifford is and will be buried there with her at his time.
Although we will miss Debbie's beautiful smile we can all rejoice that her
dad Charlie was waiting there for her with his loving arms open wide. I am sure they have not quit talking yet.
