Debra A. Shannon, 64, of East Liverpool, peacefully passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Valley Oaks Care Center.
Born on September 18, 1961, in Negley, Ohio, she was the beloved daughter of the late Paul and Ida M. Whitney Herron.
A proud graduate of East Liverpool High School, Debra dedicated many years of her life as a compassionate nurse's aide at Parkside Health, where her kindness and dedication left a lasting impact. Above all, Debra was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she relished every moment spent with them, often finding joy in traveling and exploring new places together.
Debra will be profoundly missed by her cherished husband, James Shannon, with whom she shared 40 wonderful years of love and companionship. She is survived by her beloved children: George Thompson, Casey Weber (Aaron), Barry Thompson (Mary Ann), Christina Smith (Carson), and Ronnie Thompson (Amy). Her legacy continues through her adoring grandchildren: Emery Thompson, Isabelle and Robert James Weber, Scarlett Thompson, Justin and Abigail Smith, and Destiny Valentine (Chris), along with three treasured great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind her siblings, Michael and Jimmy Herron, Roxanne Quinn, and Irene Cosley, all of whom hold precious memories of her in their hearts.
Evangelist Robert Weber will officiate a celebration of Debra's life on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at the Arner Funeral Chapel at 3:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to gather and share their condolences from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM prior to the service, as they honor the beautiful life of this remarkable woman.
