**Obituary for Debra Clarice Turner Swearington**

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Debra Clarice Turner Swearington, who departed this life on September 26, 2025, just days after the loss of her cherished brother, Ivory Turner, Jr.

Born on January 17, 1963, Debra was 62 years old at the time of her passing.

Debra dedicated many years of her life to working as a sitter, providing care and companionship to those in need. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering commitment to her work were a testament to her character. Known for her strong work ethic, Debra took pride in her ability to support herself and her family, always striving to achieve her goals.

A lover of life, Debra had a special fondness for the color emerald green, which mirrored her vibrant personality. She found joy in shopping, often delighting in the thrill of finding the perfect item. Music and movement were also close to her heart; she loved to dance and sing, bringing joy to gatherings and celebrations.

Earlier this year, Debra embarked on her first cruise, discovering a newfound passion for sailing and the tranquility of the sea. In her quieter moments, she enjoyed the challenge of crossword puzzles, often immersing herself in the joy of solving each one. Above all, Debra's greatest love was her family. She cherished her loved ones deeply, and her warmth and kindness will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A funeral service to celebrate Debra's life will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, located at 9151 LA-1, Lena, LA 71447. Pastor Frank Doug Randle will officiate the service. Public viewing and visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, leading up to the service at 2:00 PM. Following the service, Debra will be laid to rest at the Roadview Cemetery of the Taylor Hill Community in Lena, Louisiana.

As we remember Debra, let us keep her family in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her in return.
