Debra Lee Terkelsen 1957-2025
Debra Lee Terkelsen, our loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, age 68, passed away November 7, 2025 at Utah Valley Hospital in Provo, Utah.
Born November 6, 1957 in Moab ,Utah to Thomas Platt and Judith Sawyer. She married Junior Earl Dixon who proceeded her in death. She later married Kent L. Terkelsen on October 5, 1996 in Springville, UT.
Debra was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She enjoyed crocheting , spending time with family and sightseeing . Debra was a kind-hearted loving soul who acted as “mama bear” to all who knew her.
She is survived by husband Kent, daughters Judith Cole (Jason), Michelle Gordon, Brandy Lazenby (Fred), Brandy Hart, Juanitta Davis (Trevor), Grandchildren Kyle, Tiffany, Caitlynn, Josh, Aurora, Audrey, Stryker and 3 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother
Judith Sawyer (Larry), sister Melinda, brothers Larry (Monique), Dale (Kristy), Tommy, Brian. Also survived by her mother-in-law Dona Terkelsen, sister-in-law Wendy Peterson, brother- in-law Clark Terkelsen.
Debra was Preceded in death by her first husband Junior Dixon, brother Shane, granddaughter Shyanne, Father Thomas Platt and father-in-law Wilford Terkelsen
We would like to Thank Orem Rehab, Provo Rehab, Utah Valley cardiology, Utah Valley Hospital and Hospice in caring for our dearly loved wife, mother, and grandmother.
Interment will be held on November 17, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the Spring City Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Mt. Pleasant 5th Ward Church at 49 South State Street in Mt. Pleasant during a luncheon.
