Debra Charlene Whittaker, born on April 12, 1954, in Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025, at home with family. A beacon of strength and resilience, Debra's life journey was marked by her unwavering spirit and determination. She dedicated over 20 years of her professional life to Teamsters Local Union 135, where she made lasting contributions and built meaningful relationships.
Debra was more than just a devoted worker; she was a cancer survivor, a testament to her incredible will to overcome obstacles. Her strength inspired many, and she carried her experiences with grace. Outside of her career, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Avidly passionate about reading and enthusiastic about bowling, Debra cherished every moment spent doing what she loved.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Randy Whittaker; her son, Dustin Whittaker; her devoted sisters, Reva Michealree and Doris Cross; and her brother, Ronnie Gholdson. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, along with countless nieces and nephews who will hold her memory dear in their hearts.
Debra was preceded in death by her cherished parents, Frank B. and Ella H. (Meece) Gholdson, who shaped her with love and values that she instilled in her own family.
Her presence will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will live on in the lives she touched and the love she shared.
