Cecilia - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church for Debra Williams, 64, who passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center.
A visitation will take place at the funeral home in Cecilia on Saturday from 8:00 am until 10:30 am.
A rosary will be prayed at 9:00 am on Saturday morning.
Father Joseph Brasseaux and Deacon Ken Soignier will officiate at the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery.
Born in Lafayette on September 7, 1959, Debra brought joy and love into the lives of those around her. Debra's vibrant spirit and warm heart endeared her to everyone she met. She dedicated her time to creating a loving and nurturing home for her family, embodying the true essence of a homemaker.
Thrift shopping and garage sales held a special place in Debra's heart. She loved playing her lucky $5 at Miss Mamie's, and she could often be found surrounded by those closest to her.
Family was the foundation of Debra's life. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister, who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Tommy Williams; daughter, Patricia Williams; sisters, JoAnna Babineaux and Irma Babineaux; grandchildren, Ian Williams, Delanie Narcisse, Mackenzie Narcisse and Chase Narcisse; bonus grandchildren, Cade St. Andre' and Carter St. Andre'; mother-in-law, Emmalee Williams; sister-in-law, Mary Citizen (Ken); and brothers-in-law, Donald Williams and Elroy Williams.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Babineaux and Elizabeth Journet Babineaux; sisters, Renella Calais, Theresa Calais, Ezola Borel, Betty Charles and Bernadine Batiste; brother, Clinton Babineaux; father-in-law, Horace Williams; and her brother-in-law, Harris Williams.
