Debra Kay Wingrove, known affectionately as Debi, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2025, at the age of 65. Born in Uniontown, PA on August 21, 1960, Debi was a beacon of generosity, love, and laughter in the lives of those who knew her.
As the daughter of Alfred and Lou Wingrove, Debi spent her formative years in Point Marion, PA before setting roots in Morgantown, WV. Debi's life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family.
Her love for her husband, Roy Chance, whom she married on September 24, 1979, was a testament to her deeply rooted values of commitment and loyalty. Debi was also a source of warmth and joy for her daughter, Twila Wingrove, and stepsons, Brad and Stacy Chance, and a house full of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She treasured the time spent with her family, always ensuring gatherings were filled with good food, laughter, and love.
Debi was a smart woman, and she was known for her quick wit and problem-solving skills. Debi was remembered for her humor and intelligence, often keeping family and friends entertained with her stories and jokes. Despite challenging later years, Debi's spirit remained unbroken, embodying a love for life that was infectious and inspiring. Debi was a woman of strength, resilience, and immeasurable love. Her life was a testament to her dedication to her family, her generous spirit, and her unique sense of humor.
Debi was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Wingrove, mother, Lou Wingrove, and brother, Alfred Wingrove, Jr. ("Junior"). She will be missed immensely by her surviving family and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
